The first day of spring doesn’t always fall on the same day each year, and the weather in the southeast is often unpredictable—especially in the spring—but, the arrival of Spring 2009 in Alpharetta brings a full array of outdoor arts, culture, and recreational activities and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy.

The 7th Annual Alpharetta Children’s Festival will be held on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on the Event Lawn behind the Alpharetta Community Center located at 175 Roswell Street, Alpharetta.
Sponsored by the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department, this annual event features interactive creative arts, crafts, and enrichment activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, train rides, and inflatable activities and games.
Performances by local dance and singing groups will also be featured throughout the day, as well as safety tip demonstrations and activities conducted by local public safety personnel.
Food and refreshment concessions will be available in addition to vender displays of children’s clothing, accessories, books, and crafts. Admission and parking are free.
