July 4th Festivities and Fireworks
Let Freedom Ring on Independence Day! Hear the proverbial city bells and bands play, enjoy the patriotic festivities, and watch the fireworks in . . . Alpharetta, Georgia at this annual celebration of the formal adoption of the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
Join in the fun of participating in the 4th of July festivities at Wills Park. Activities for children include games on the Event Lawn behind the Alpharetta Community Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Then, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., local bands will provide entertainment at various locations throughout the park. And the City of Alpharetta’s annual fireworks display begins at dusk.
Bring a blanket and pack a picnic basket or enjoy a variety of tasty food items for sale by vendors from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A Bit of 4th of July Trivia
Although most of the delegates of the Continental Congress actually signed the Declaration of Independence on August 2, 1776, the Fourth of July has long since marked the day for public celebrations, parades, pageants, festivals, and patriotic speeches and fireworks all across the United States!

In addition to hosting Alpharetta’s annual 4th of July Festivities and Fireworks, Wills Park also hosts several other special events, like the “Taste of Alpharetta” and the. Annual Mayor’s Challenge 5K and 10K Road Race Other Wills Park facilities and recreational activities include swimming, baseball, basketball, tennis, Frisbee Golf, two dog parks, playgrounds, walking trails, a recreation center, concerts, dog shows, and equestrian activities.

Directions from GA 400: Take Old Milton Pkwy/ Exit 10, toward Alpharetta. Go approximately 2 miles. Wills Park is located on the left side of Old Milton Parkway between Roswell Street and Wills Road and there are several entrances.
