Excellent medical care is available in Alpharetta for patients who have suffered catastrophic illnesses or injuries and require an extended stay in an acute hospital facility. Regency Hospital at 11175 Cicero Drive, (770) 772-4345, is an acute care hospital that accepts patients who require 8 -12 hours of direct medical care per day, are expected to require acute care for at least two weeks, and will require daily physician visits. Regency Hospital is not designed for patients who require short term treatment or routine medical care.

Patients who do need short term treatment or routine medical care can find it in Northside Hospital-Atlanta’s medical office complex at 3400 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta. More than 200 doctors and other medical care providers that are affiliated with Northside Hospital-Atlanta offer comprehensive outpatient services at the 140-acre Alpharetta medical complex. Outpatient services do not include emergency rooms or operating rooms.

North Fulton Regional Medical Center is about 5 miles from Alpharetta in Roswell and it has been providing medical care to residents of Fulton County since it opened in 1983. North Fulton Regional Medical Center has 202 beds in the acute care hospital, approximately 400 staff physicians and 1,000 employees. The hospital has been certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and it is one of only three hospitals in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area that has received the Level II Adult Trauma Center designation. The 15,000 sq. ft. Emergency Room area contains 28 patient rooms in addition to separate cardiac, trauma and orthopedic rooms.

In 1990 a Pain Control Center was established at North Fulton Regional Medical Center in order to alleviate discomfort in patients who suffer from acute, sub-acute, chronic or cancer related pain. Equipped with advanced monitoring equipment and staffed by specially trained technicians, the Sleep Disorder Center utilizes state of the art technology to treat numerous sleep disorders.
