Alpharetta’s most popular shopping centers

With over 1.3 million sq. ft. of retail shopping space, North Point Mall has become one of the most popular shopping centers in North Georgia. North Point Mall contains over 150 stores, many restaurants, a snack food court, and even a vintage carousel for children to ride. Windward Promenade is a specialty shopping center in Alpharetta with over 20 upscale boutiques and restaurants that are conveniently located just off Highway 9 near Wal-Mart, Costco, Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement Center.

Downtown Alpharetta is also a popular center for shopping. The Historic Shops of Crabapple is a quaint and historic shopping district in Alpharetta that features an old fashioned marketplace atmosphere replete with intriguing restaurants, antique stores, shopping boutiques and novelty gift stores. Alpharetta’s three shopping centers for food and other general merchandise are North Farm Market Place Shopping Center, Alpharetta Square Shopping Center and Alpha Park Shopping Center.

Shopping for antiques in Alpharetta

The largest antique mall in the local region is Queen of Hearts Antique Mall at 700 North Main Street in Alpharetta. More than 130 antique dealers utilize the mall’s 33,000 sq. ft. of space to showcase vintage European and early American furniture, glassware, silverware, pottery, books and other collectible items all year round. Alpharetta also contains unique antique stores like Antiques and Country Pine at 348-356 South Main Street, (770) 663-6560, which specializes in imported European antiques and carries the largest selection of antique pine, cherry wood and teak furniture in the area.

People who value and collect antiques will not want to miss the annual Old Times at Crabapple Antique Festival from May through October at 765 Mid Broadwell Road in Alpharetta. This ongoing event showcases the best merchandise from more than 100 different antique dealers. Another very popular antique shopping event occurs twice annually at the Historic Downtown Alpharetta Antique Festival, which is held on the third Saturday in May and the first Saturday in October. Antique dealers come from all over America to set up booths along the brick sidewalks of beautiful downtown Alpharetta where there is always a plethora of delectable foods to sample in the many restaurants and cafes.
